I.M. Pain began playing roller derby in 2009, but started roller sports in 1988 as a roller speed skater.  She competed on both quads and inlines until 2002, and then again in 2008. She has multiple Inline National Championship titles, and currently holds the Indoor National Record in the Classic Ladies 500m sprint, set in 2008.

Pain has skated with Charm City Roller Girls All Stars since 2010, and was voted Captain for the 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 seasons.  She is primarily a Jammer but can be seen blocking in the pack every once in a while. Pain also skates for the Bont Quadstars. I.M. Pain is the primary form and endurance coach for Charm City.

When Pain isn’t skating, she enjoys swing dancing, knitting, renovating her 100 year old Baltimore row home, and hanging out with her husband, their two rescued Akita pups, and a cat named Meow.
